Ongoing support for the Dargaville Community Garden. Located at Kumarani Creative Centre A garden to promote wellness, community connections and to be a learning / growing space for any who require it. Our goal is to educate and connect rather than high production. This is a permaculture garden based on the core ethics of 'Earth Care' 'People Care' and 'Fair Share'. We encourage everyone to start a garden at home. There will be monthly open days including workshops, seed and crop swaping and information sharing. You can also be part of the regular volunteer team taking care of the gardens.

We still need compost helpers at CBEC!! We would love you to come help us, we take paper towels and foodwaste and create wonderful compost that we give to kindis, but we need help. Volunteers will be welcome to go home with a bag of compost or three!! Ideally we would make this a regular once a month event, please let us know what days you are free.

We (KaitaiaCycle) are in need of spray free lawn clippings for our compost to balance with more nitrogen. Drop off to either CBEC or by the compost bins near drop in surf shop. We can provide empty fadges/wool bales for filing and sort a swap system at either or both places. This would be fantastic if it was a weekly/fortnightly arrangement. Sisonke is a newly formed African Community group. Are you a keen recycler and know the difference between Landfil 🟥, Recycling 🟨, and Composting 🟩 bins, then Sisonke would like to request your help for supervising our refuse station. Training will be provided if you are not familiar with the above. The celebration takes place on this Saturday, 25 May from 11am to 4pm at La Mere Lounge, New Plymouth Raceway. Each shift will be 2 hours, but if you only have an hour to spare then that would be good too. Come and enjoy all things African. Free food to volunteers, $5 to public. Be adventurous and try out different African cuisines on the day. Ja s'ha acabat Temps de Flors i començarem amb l'activitat més tranquil·la del dia a dia del Banc del Temps. Per començar reciclarem els bàners de fotografia a bosses. Per això hi ha dues activitats: 1. 22 maig (19h).- Reunió de persones expertes en cosir/dissenyar/ensenyar. 2. 29 maig (19h).- Taller per ensenyar a fer les bosses. Si tens experiència a cosir, si us plau, vine el dia 22 de maig i buscarem les diferents formes i models de bosses per després, el dia 29 de maig, ensenyar a la resta de socis/es. Lloc.- Centre Cívic Santa Eugènia / Espai Gent Gran
Vull aprendre a fer servir aplicacions, com Zoom o similars, per fer videotrucades.
