Taranaki TimeBank Steering Committee Chairperson or Co-Chair (This is a volunteer position).

Support Timebank by becoming a member of the Steering Commitee! We are still looking for our perfect Chairperson to head our fantastic team of enthusiastic committee members, this is a role that could work for two people to split the role. Earn Timebank hours for volunteering. You can be from anywhere in Taranaki, we met monthly via Zoom. Chairperson: Primary Tasks: Lead the committee and represent the organisation Outline of Responsibilities: Ensure that the Rules are followed Convene Meetings Chair Meetings, ensuring all governing body members can contribute to debate and decision-making Oversee the operation of TTB Give a report on the operation of TTB at each Annual General Meeting Monitor the Coordinator's performance Contact Michelle contact@taranakitimebank.org or 027 275 0215 for the Constitution or more information. Timebank is Fundraising! We need items we can use in raffles please - you will earn time for your donations

Do you have items you want to trade for time? We have a couple of raffles planned, one with a focus on Winter Wellness (we will be selling tickets at the Hāwera Winter Festival), and Kai Resilience (We'll be drawing this one is spring at one of our workshops). If you think you have something we could put into a box/basket to raffle off please get in touch! Think warm blankets or slippers, hot water bottle cover (unsewn or knitted), wheat bags, dried lemons, honey, anything you enjoy in Winter! For the Kai Resilience one anything garden or kitchen related would be wonderful.

Hāwera - Upsewing Helpers for Girl Guides Brownies Class Tuesday 10th June 4pm

We need a couple of enthusiastic sewers to help teach basic hand sewing skills to the girls at Brownies in Hāwera. 180 Princes Street, Girl Guide Hall. Will earn 1.5 hours for your time, only basic knowledge required, patience with kids required though!

Hāwera - Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser support - supply or donate towards sausages, sauce or bread for 7th June

We are running a fundraising Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings Hāwera on Saturday 7th June. We are lucky enough to have helpers for the barbecuing but are still looking for donations. The more we have donated the more profit we can use to help run Taranaki Timebank. Can you buy a bag of Sausages for us? Perhaps a tray of drinks? Maybe you have a contact or a local business willing to sponsor us? You could also just come down and say hi and grab a sausage ;-) Send an email to Michelle for more info.

Hāwera - Winter Festival Helpers Thursday 19th June

We will have a table at Hāwera's Winter Festival on Thursday 19th June, it runs from 5 - 8pm with the main High Street closed to traffic, it's always a fun night with glowing face paints, food trucks, toasting marshmallows and loads of stalls and tables. We are looking for people to help set up (at 4:30pm), tend the stall, and pack down (from 7:30pm). You can help out with any of these and also enjoy a lovely evening! Get in touch if you would like to earn time for any part you help with.

Hāwera - Ribbons, Buttons and Stuffing Wanted for Upsewing - We can arrange pick-up in South Taranaki

Upsewing needs your surplus ribbons, buttons and any toy/cushion stuffing please! We can use this for lots of projects and workshops. If you would like someone to pick it up from your place, we can arrange for this. We will trade you time for your treasures.

Seedlings, pots and help for education exchange with CCS in Waitara

Taranaki Timebank is joining CCS on the 31st October, sharing our Kai resilience initiative at their Karanga Maha at Owae marae in Waitara after lunch. We are needing seedlings, food/ herb plants for participants. Also if you are enthusiastic about Timebank and growing Kai you are welcome to join us to share your knowledge. An Easy Way To Earn Time From The Comfort of Home: Taranaki Timebank needs a couple of social people, who are passionate about Timebank and who enjoy networking, to engage with new and old members and encourage them to update their Time Overflow

Taranaki Timebank needs help with membership engagement and retention; We need a couple of social people, who are passionate about Timebank and who enjoy networking. These people, from any location, will engage with new members, helping them get Offers and Requests set up and start making trades, and encouraging quieter members to revisit and renew their profiles to encourage more trades. If you are interested there is scope to learn to run Get Started Sessions face to face and on zoom and make updates to our database for accurate reporting. This is ongoing and tasks are shared. This is mostly online via email and Zoom, with some in-person availability appreciated. Timebank hours to be traded for time spent engaging with other Timebank Members. New Plymouth - Helpers for Timebank Get Started Sessions

Taranaki Timebank needs helpers in North Taranaki, to run regular face to face Get Started Sessions. Each member attends one when signing up, you'll be introducing them to what Timebank is and how it works. Full training will be provided on what's required. You can nominate the dates/times that suit you. These are usually held as a group at Puki Ariki but you could also offer one on one sessions if you prefer.
