Next week we are receiving some pavers and garden edging blocks that Firth have donated for the Hope Community Garden. If there is anybody that would be good at making garden edging that would be fantastic please! Hope Community Garden The community garden is open 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm. There is always something to do, weeding, planting, harvesting and a cuppa to be had. We are looking for people who are prepared to come and help when and if they can. The garden was closed for four months last year so we are currently looking to put more structure in the garden and keep on top of the gardening while we start again.

Hi we need volunteers to help us maintain our compost at CBEC in exchange for some compost to take home! Every second Tuesday of the month we need extra hands. Eco Solutions collect paper towels from kindis, and the waste from the Kaitaia Market and compost it, we then gift it back to the kindis and kura, we would love a few extra hands to turn the compost every month, and lawn clippings, we are happy for helpers to take home compost in return!
