Taranaki Timebank Needs You!

Taranaki Timebank wishes to invite people to work with us in a range of roles to help making this stronger and more sustainable as a grass roots initiative. “Lead by the people it serves / Aratakina e te iwi e mahi ana” Joining us as volunteer is an excellent way to help TTB obtain its goals of providing a sustainable social network based on needs being met through valuing and sharing. If you are a member and believe in its principles and want to do more there is an opportunity for you. By becoming an active volunteer you will get fulfilment from directly seeing the impact of your ideas through joint action while forming lasting relationships. Taranaki Timebank is looking for people to join in a variety of ways; Steering committee (2 positions) We are inviting another one or two people ideally who live in Mid and/or North Taranaki to join the steering committee and become a committee member. Membership engagement and retention; We need a couple of social people, who are passionate about Timebank, who enjoy networking and able to engage with new members. The areas are either North Taranaki or South Taranaki. This role involves conducting the “Get started sessions” and staying in touch with new members as they settle in and form connections. It is our wish for social groups to form that meet regularly in a casual social setting to form a strong network. Administration, communications and marketing We need public relations and communications support with website management, newsletters, social media marketing, event advertising and membership administration. Experience with computer systems is a must. Fundraising; We are looking for people with enthusiasm and / or experience in fundraising events to work as part of a team to coordinate with the Upsewing Lead and Coordinator with their initiatives and start other initiatives that help Timebank raise needed funds for platform administration costs and to increase its exposure in Taranaki communities.
