Is there anyone here, that is profient in holding conversations in NZSL?
I,Michelle became Hard of Hearing in late 2022 & think it’s handy to learn Sign Language.
I am self teaching myself at the moment via the NZSL Dictionary App on the Mobile.
So I only know a few words so far… but it’s hard to remember them as I have no one to learn from & bounce off on.
To string learnt words together and have proper conversations.
I’d be happy to use Facebook Messenger, Zoom or Skype for Video calling
if your out of Kaitaia town radius.
Or meet up for coffee in Kaitaia town and teach me!

Sisonke is a newly formed African Community group.
Are you a keen recycler and know the difference between Landfil 🟥, Recycling 🟨, and Composting 🟩 bins, then Sisonke would like to request your help for supervising our refuse station.
Training will be provided if you are not familiar with the above.
The celebration takes place on this Saturday, 25 May from 11am to 4pm at La Mere Lounge, New Plymouth Raceway.
Each shift will be 2 hours, but if you only have an hour to spare then that would be good too.
Come and enjoy all things African. Free food to volunteers, $5 to public. Be adventurous and try out different African cuisines on the day. There will also be African entertainment and games and much, much more.

The Mid Canterbury Rural Driver Licensing Scheme is looking for driving mentors to help our rural newcomers to learn to drive. You will need a full license, a sense of humour and to remain calm while your student learns a new skill. Our adult clients are rural and for most, English is a second language. It's a lot of fun and you meet some amazing people. We provide support and the clients provide the car for lessons. We also reimburse mileage to cover costs when you travel to meet your student.

I can crochet but not start very well. I'd like a few in-person sessions so I can start new projects with ease. I'd prefer to work with someone in person as you will be able to see what I am doing and guide me. We can have a cuppa in the process. Happy to come to you or you to me. I am on Milmoe St.

I want to learn how to make website animation. I have basic knowledge in coding etc., so I'm wanting to jump right over to the animating and see how to implement this into website coding. Start from the end and work backwards. I'd want to sit with someone who knows how to do this and learn some practical steps and tips. I also have experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, so I have experience in animation and illustration.
