TTB will have a stand at the Hawera Family Fun Day to promote our organisation & our Upsewing Group. We need volunteers to help with setup from 7am and packup from 2pm plus people to be at the stand throughout the day to engage the public. Upsewing will have sewing machines setup to encourage people to have a go with our guidance.

Our Community Maara needs manure. At the Hawera A&P Showgrounds there are large piles of manure near the horse stables area. Manure can be collected here for free. Please deliver to the Community Garden, 101 Collins Street. We have a drive-through drop-off point and a bin labelled 'Manure'. TTB members earn credits - email contact@taranakitimebank.org

St Mary's Community Garden in Hawera have a community cupboard/ the pātaka kai which has been decorated by local students drawing attention to passers-by, encouraging them to help themselves to available produce from the garden. Home growers also donate produce and seedlings to keep our community nourished with fresh vegetables.
