A little bit about me: I'm a postgrad student studying exercise physiology, and I've worked with clients from 18 through to 68. I love being outdoors, I love to climb and hike. Private Gym + Personal Training

I am a fully qualified personal trainer who owns & runs a substantially equipped private gym and I am looking to open it up to time bank members. I am offering the first PT session for free (no time bank credits required) with the following three PT sessions being for time bank credit plus $20 per session. This will allow for the development of a personalized training program while ensuring that you know how to use the equipment safely. Unsupervised use of the gym following these initial four sessions will be for time bank credits only, with a six weekly PT check in session for time bank credits plus $20 to reassess and calibrate your personalized program. Please note the gym is based in Hawera (south Taranaki) and as it is on private land bookings will be essential

Gym Buddy - no need for you to sign up, I can bring a guest all the time

Hi Timebankers Please do not email or call me on this offer, please TEXT me 027 532 5575. I have a black membership with cityfitness which means I can bring a guest. It would be nice to motivate someone to get fit or just do something different. There is no need for you to sign up, just come with me. I can offer 1 session per week per timebank member just so some others can avail of the opportunity as well. Oh one more thing, we have to start for 7am :)

We have two different types of handcycles for you to borrow. If you unable to ride a standard bicycle due to limited use of your legs or balance issues these would be perfect for you to still get out there cycling.   See the images below for the two that we have available. Tai Chi

The way I was taught was to think of the tai chi form as a moving meditation, so during the form I focus on slowing down my breath which in turn clears my head whilst calming and slowing me down, as well as improving awareness of every part of my body. I've been practising Yang style tai chi (mostly Chen Man-Ch'ing's Short Form) on and off for four or so years now so let me know if you're keen for a/some tai chi lesson/s!
