I am working on a series of large canvases that I intend to become oracle cards. I am open to creating personal oracle art works for individuals. These can be any size and will just cost the canvas and donation to paint. I can also run workshops or private lessons in the technique that I use.

Interested in learning Crochet? or how to read a Crochet pattern? I enjoy crochet and I enjoy helping! I have been crocheting since I was a teenager (there have been long time periods where I have not crocheted however, and I have done few large projects!) I have made many small items to patterns and I have also made many small items by just improvising. If there is a crochet project you would like help with or some company while you do it let me know, I would love to crochet alongside you or assist if desired :) I am available Mondays, tuesdays and weds/thurs mornings generally, or another time can be arranged potentially Happy to travel up to 30mins outside Whangarei, I would prefer closer but we will see what turns up! I've been navigating allergy friendly cooking/baking since my son was 3 months old and developed eczema which was related to food allergies/intolerances. This prompted me to investigate thoroughly diet and food and the impacts it can have, and working out how to make tasty, amazing food with substitutes! I'm willing to share my recipes, ideas, experiences and tips for cooking gluten free, dairy free, nut free, refined sugar free, egg free (though that is no longer a problem for us now) and anything else free that you can think of! Bread, cake, muffins, brownies, pancakes, hot cross buns, pizza bases, savoury muffins, crackers and lots more. If you've been struggling with food intolerances and allergies, you are not alone! I am also willing to do some baking for you if you prefer not to do it yourself and have an event coming: provided I get plenty of notice and there is some way to easily get it to you :) I am based in Towai so happy to come to you and help with baking if you are in Kaikohe/Kerikeri/Whangarei or that kind of distance from Kawakawa. Otherwise I am happy to email my recipes if you prefer to try them yourself

If you took part in the recent photo gathering workshop, you might now be thinking what to do with all your photographs... I am happy to show you how to create beautiful pages to display and store your photographs safely and creatively. Scrapbooking is a way of collecting your photos in one place or creating ways to put them on display. You can be a simple or as elaborate as you want. It is all a matter of taste, but you will need to learn a few basic skills first. I can show you how to create a simple page to offering you advice and ideas for a larger project. I can provide materials for an additional fee and also signpost you to where to purchase inexpensive materials and tools. Workshops can be arranged at my home in Allenton or I can come to member's homes and work there. If a group of members are interested, we could form something called a 'crop' if people are committed to meeting on a regular basis.
I have knitted for years and love it, multi coloured, technical patterns, if you need help just yell out, I'm happy to help.

Learn the fabulous french horn! Whatever your musical tastes - classical, contemporary musicals, concert band, jazz, movie scores or all of them, french horns often feature prominently because of their beautiful tone and wide range of expression. Having played horn since 1988, gaining the Royal Schools 'Advanced Certificate' (was between grade 8 and ARSM), and having played first horn in Taranaki Symphony Orchestra since then, I can offer lessons to music beginners or those musicians wanting to learn another instrument. Once you have some proficiency there are several groups in New Plymouth where you can put your talent to good use - Taranaki Youth Orchestra, Taranaki Symphony Orchestra and The Great Taranaki Steam Band.
I can offer guitar lessons for beginner or medium level guitarists - teaching chords, notes, scales (lead) - and some basic musical theory. I'm happy to have lessons at my residence or I can come to you (for a small koha for gas money). I consider the best thing for learners is to get to know the basics of chords and strumming, and I'm happy to provide 5 lessons x 30mins to get you started. If more are required then we can discuss further. The basic goal is to get you playing a song that's appropriate for your level and allow you to grow from there. I've played for 28 years, both solo and in bands and am happy to pass on my knowledge to interested learners. PLEASE NOTE: There is a guitar available for use during guitar lessons.
