Pātaka Kai sharing - ongoing request

St Mary's Community Garden in Hawera have a community cupboard/ the pātaka kai which has been decorated by local students drawing attention to passers-by, encouraging them to help themselves to available produce from the garden. Home growers also donate produce and seedlings to keep our community nourished with fresh vegetables. TTB members will receive a 0.5 time credit - just email contact@taranakitimebank.org - a picture would earn an extra 0.5

Lawn Mowing

I need some help with my lawns, I don't have a shed to store a lawnmower in so I don't have one currently. The grass is getting a little out of hand. I have a weed hacker to do the edges, but the lawn itself needs mowing (potentially regularly in the next few weeks). It's only a small section for about 30min at my little tiny house in Woodend

Kia ora, I have sourced a massive piece of waffle fabric (a bed spread I believe) and would love to have that turned into lightweight shower/bath towels, size appx. 50x70cm. Would anyone with sowing skills be happy to make them for me? Many thanks in advance!

On The House is a charitable organisation reducing food waste and getting good, surplus kai to those whom need it. We operate bi-weekly popup frees stores direct to the public on Mondays and Thursdays with volunteer shifts running for an average of 2.5 hours between 2pm and 6.30pm. We also support the regions Foodbanks and Community Groups with surplus food Monday to Friday from our Community Food Hub (CFH) based in Waiwhakaiho. We utilise volunteers for food sorting at our CFH Mon-Fri between 11.30am and 2pm. Maromaku, yurt assembly!

If you're available on Saturday 18th and curious about what is involved in putting a yurt up, come along to our yurt building party! Our platform is ready to go, yurt will be delivered on friday 17th ready to erect on Saturday. Step ladders would be useful to bring along as would a (battery) power drill with screw fittings (not sure entirely which type yet, will find out soon!) Get in touch if you're interested! Be aware we have a bucket compost toilet system, we are living without power and water currently... Cheers :)
