Funding application support

We are wanting to expand the positive impact of our projects (Love Whangarei Monthly Clean Up, Repair Cafe Whangarei, He Awhi Rito Envirohub, Whangarei Tool Library) and potential expand to new projects. To do this we need funding! Can you help? We need someone who can: * seek out funding opportunities (We can give access to the GEM Local funding list) * prepare funding applications. This includes obtaining quotes and showing how we meet the funders goals and vision but you will have support from the board * ensure we meet deadlines for applications and accountability milestones * There is no requirement to continually attend board meetings. You will meet with the board to get an introduction to our priorities and vision then will continue to work alongside any Trustees assigned to support the project. Skills required: * good writing and communication skills * communicate and collaborate with the Trustees * ability to tell the story of how the funding will support our impact in the community * good time management skills as there are deadlines to meet Time commitment: Dependent on funding deadlines. We estimate 2 hours per week.

Kaitāia - Compost volunteers & green waste needed!

Hi we need volunteers to help us maintain our compost at CBEC in exchange for some compost to take home! Every second Tuesday of the month we need extra hands. Eco Solutions collect paper towels from kindis, and the waste from the Kaitaia Market and compost it, we then gift it back to the kindis and kura, we would love a few extra hands to turn the compost every month, and lawn clippings, we are happy for helpers to take home compost in return! Please email, I never answer my phone!

Fix it Fair helpers

Are you a friendly person who can welcome others to the Fix it Fair? Help them find their way in the library? Manage a queue by giving out numbers and explaining the 'one at a time' policy? Menders

Help - I have 3 (hopefully 4) people able to do mending and sewing repairs at our Fix it Fair on August 9 but I'd love some more helpers. Even if you are just happy to do hand sewing, moving buttons that kind of thing. There are also sewing machines we can use at the library or you can bring your own if you prefer. Be great to have a couple more helpers - from 10.30 - 12.30 on August 9th.

Adequar el camp de voley platja del poble

Bon dia, som uns quants que juguem a voley al poble i de tant en tant montem torneigos com L'ENSORRAT, que té lloc aquest dissabte per la Festa Major del Canet. Sempre intentem mantenir el camp en les millors condicions possibles, tant per motius tant de seguretat com de qualitat de joc. El primer que fem és recordar a l'Ajuntament que hi ha una instal.lació municipal que necessita del seu manteniment. Un cop han fet la seva aportació, com que volem el millor pel poble (i pel voley) intentem complimentar tot el que no s'ha fet. Aquest any hem quedat demà divendres per la tarda, primer de tot intentarem subsanar els perills que presenta el camp i si podem arribar més lluny doncs ho farem. Tota ajuda serà benvinguda, portarem nevera amb gel per si us voleu dur la vostra beguda (no hi ha font). Poso les tasques bàsiques de seguretat: - Protegir els pals metàlics per evitar més contusions - Llaurar la sorra que està molt compactada en alguns punts i portem els genolls com els nens/es dels 80 - Rascletar la sorra i eliminar les restes de la desbrossada municipal. per evitar les punxades constants als peus - L'AAVV us ho agrairà amb el cor i amb hores de servei al Banc de Temps De ben segur, després de currar, s'haurà de catar el camp i farem algunes patxangues, com sempre, tothom és benvingut, el camp és de tots. Si veniu i no ajudeu també serà un plaer tenir-vos per allà. Porteu gorra/barret que no hi ha ombres enlloc. Moltes gràcies, orgull de "poble" "Som els que som, i farem el que podrem" Neus Rossell
