Garden Volunteers

Would you like to be part of the community garden? Earn time credits for the hours you help out? You don't need to know anything about gardening - others can guide you with what weeds to pull out, how and where to plant things etc. It's a fun group of people to spend time with and a beautiful place to be. You can harvest vegetables for yourself and surplus supplies for the local food banks. Contact Carole - volunteer coordinator, if you're interested in finding out more. Our open hours are usually: Sat 9- 12 Mon 10-11.30 Thurs 1.30 - 3pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - 14TH MARCH - GROW & TELL

Tracey and Jim's Waikuku property are one of the participating gardens and will be using this as an opportunity to promote and raise funds for TimeBank Waimakariri so we need your help!  Do you have any plants, produce or seeds that you would like to donate to TBW to sell at this event? Please contact Tracey at 021 169 8080 or email tracey@livingbydesign.nz to arrange to deliver to her prior to the 14th of March. Any produce leftover will be donated to the local foodbank.  We are in need of a few volunteers to help onsite on Saturday 14th of March to:  Direct people to parking and where to meet for the garden tour Help promote TimeBank Waimakariri at the info table Sell plants, produce and seeds.  We have a few different times where we need people onsite on 14th March: 9:30 - 11 11 - 12:30 1 - 2:30 If you can help out in any way for this event please let me know asap by replying to this email.

Garden Edging help in community garden

Next week we are receiving some pavers and garden edging blocks that Firth have donated for the Hope Community Garden. If there is anybody that would be good at making garden edging that would be fantastic please! Hope Community Garden The community garden is open 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm.  There is always something to do, weeding, planting, harvesting and a cuppa to be had. We are looking for people who are prepared to come and help when and if they can.  The garden was closed for four months last year so we are currently looking to put more structure in the garden and keep on top of the gardening while we start again.

No és necessari que tingui coneixements sobre reflexología perquè no es tracta d'això exactament. I en tot cas jo el guiaria en la manera de fer-ho. Ho necessito de debò per malaltia de mobilitat progresiva. Serà fàcil i sense esforç. Que el voluntari/a no es preocupi jo indicaré els punts de pressió i resposta nerviosa. Jo era el professional. Cap problema! Gràcies.

Seaside Market wash trailer and waste station

Come and help us keep compost and recycling out of landfill, keeping the beautiful Ngāmotu Beach area clean and tidy and helping the Seaside Market shoppers make the right decisions when disposing of their rubbish. There’s also the opportunity to help tend the innovative wash trailer as the market now uses reusable plates and cutlery. It’s a great atmosphere and the public are so encouraged by what we do in this space. Shifts available in March: Sunday 9:30am-12noon and 12noon-2:30pm, Sunday 9:30am-12noon and 12noon-2:30pm.
