I have yacon crowns sprouting now and ready to grow yacon from. This juicy South American root crop is crisp and refreshing - it's sometimes called an underground pear. It's reportedly good for your digestion and, although sweet, is okay for diabetics, I'm told. I use it in fruit salad or by itself on cereal and also cook it in stir fry, stews or roast vegetables. It usefully ripens in winter. The plant grows tall - about 2 metres - so you need a suitable space. One Timebank hour for say 5 crowns?
I have extra parsley in my garden that should be growing until there is snow cover in December.

Once a week I usually go into St Stephen to do my grocery shopping. If your from the Rollingdam area I would gladly pick you up and bring you into town to drop you off or for you to do your groceries. Usually go into St Stephen in the morning so I can check out Giant Tiger and Dollarama followed by Tim Hortons for lunch and the Superstore for groceries in the afternoon.
