M'agradaria trobar una persona o dues o tres que vulguin fer aquestes excursions. Si esteu jubilats, es poden fer entre setmana, de passada no trobarem tanta gent en els llocs. Do you have a spare mobile phone kicking around that you don’t need? It needs to be able to run the Garmin inReach App, and be supported for os updates. We got some funding from the. Cyclone Gabrielle Appeal Trust to help our members be better prepared and networked when we get extreme weather events etc. Cyclone Tam put us to the test and found us wanting; one of our coordinators was overseas, and our ‘Mission Control’ was on leave out of town! This highlighted the need for dedicated phones that can be passed on when going away, or even off sick etc so that we still have all the contacts and satellite text capability no matter what. We have funds in the grant budget for running the system, but not for actual phones, at least certainly not new! If you can’t afford to donate your old phone send us details and how much you’re looking for it and we’ll get back to you if funds allow. If you can offer us a phone please let us know details etc first rather than just send it in and we’ll let you know where it needs to go!
