Nature Cleanup at Ōakura Beach on Saturday 31 January 10am (it is fine to be late!) Come and help us clean the beautiful Ōakura Beach and surroundings! This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome! ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 1.5 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED! 10am (or later) - Meet us at Ōakura Beach (main car park by the playground, corner of Tasman Parade and Shearer Dr) for a kōrero - briefing. BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed! 11.30am (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) No RSVP required!
