Help - I have 3 (hopefully 4) people able to do mending and sewing repairs at our Fix it Fair on August 9 but I'd love some more helpers. Even if you are just happy to do hand sewing, moving buttons that kind of thing. There are also sewing machines we can use at the library or you can bring your own if you prefer. Be great to have a couple more helpers - from 10.30 - 12.30 on August 9th.

Bon dia, som uns quants que juguem a voley al poble i de tant en tant montem torneigos com L'ENSORRAT, que té lloc aquest dissabte per la Festa Major del Canet. Sempre intentem mantenir el camp en les millors condicions possibles, tant per motius tant de seguretat com de qualitat de joc. El primer que fem és recordar a l'Ajuntament que hi ha una instal.lació municipal que necessita del seu manteniment. Un cop han fet la seva aportació, com que volem el millor pel poble (i pel voley) intentem complimentar tot el que no s'ha fet. Aquest any hem quedat demà divendres per la tarda, primer de tot intentarem subsanar els perills que presenta el camp i si podem arribar més lluny doncs ho farem. Tota ajuda serà benvinguda, portarem nevera amb gel per si us voleu dur la vostra beguda (no hi ha font). Poso les tasques bàsiques de seguretat: - Protegir els pals metàlics per evitar més contusions - Llaurar la sorra que està molt compactada en alguns punts i portem els genolls com els nens/es dels 80 - Rascletar la sorra i eliminar les restes de la desbrossada municipal. per evitar les punxades constants als peus - L'AAVV us ho agrairà amb el cor i amb hores de servei al Banc de Temps De ben segur, després de currar, s'haurà de catar el camp i farem algunes patxangues, com sempre, tothom és benvingut, el camp és de tots. Hi everyone Due to my ongoing medical condition, I cannot drive I am seeking volunteers willing to help once or twice a week, or when available. Primarily I need transport to or from my parents house, 8km from the town boundary (near wakanui school, I live near the hospital. Commonly I leave town around 2pm, and have one person drop me down, then another person take me home around 9pm (you don't have to wait or do both) My parents assist when able but are extremely busy and not always available due to work, meetings or commitments Having a team of people also gives me a chance to connect with other people in the community , which helps reduce my sense of isolation I am happy to pay petrol Thank you in advance!
