Meet at the Gate to the Breakwater for the Snorkel Cleanup.
Here is the plan for the Nature Cleanup on land!
5:30pm (or later) - Meet us at the main Lee Breakwater carpark, near the big sign (by the coastal walkway entrance) for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag!
BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed!
7pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill)
No RSVP required! Just show up!
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
See you on Monday 2 Mar. 5:30pm (or later!) at the Lee Breakwater!
This event is weather-dependent and may be postponed. A decision will be made 48h before the event. Stay tuned!
