Nature Cleanup - Waiwhakaiho - World Environment Day - 12 June 2026

POSTPONED to Friday 12 June due to bad weather. Nature Cleanup along the Waiwhakaiho River on Friday 12 June 11am (it is fine to be late!) - 1pm for the World Environment Day 2026! Te Rewa Rewa Bridge, Coastal Walkway, Lake Rotomanu, Waiwhakaiho River: come and help us clean this beautiful place! This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome! Join our Sustainable Taranaki team members as we celebrate World Environment Day together! ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED! 11am (or later) - Meet us at the Te Rewa Rewa Bridge carpark for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag! BYO gloves & buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed! 1pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) No RSVP required! Just show up! The aim of this event is: to clean this location the best we can to divert trash from the landfill to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation See you on Friday 12 June. 11am (or later!) at the Te Rewa Rewa bridge parking! ** ** This event is weather-dependent and may be postponed. Nature Cleanup - Hāwera - Scott St Walkway

Nature Cleanup at the Scott St Walkway (Hāwera) on Saturday 30 May 10am (it is fine to be late!) Come and help us clean this beautiful walkway and surroundings! This event is sponsored by the Toi Foundation and is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome! ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED! 10am (or later) - Meet us at the end of Scott Street (at 2 Scott St) for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag! BYO gloves & buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed! + BYO gumboots if possible! Some sections might be muddy. 12pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) No RSVP required!
