Helping Hands - Working Bee at the Marfell Community Garden - Wed. 18 March, 10am
ALL WELCOME + PIZZA PROVIDED! 🐝🍕 "Helping Hands" on Wed. 18 March - 10am - 12:30pm, to boost the beautiful Marfell Māra improvements! 💥🌱 Even if it's just for 30 minutes, your help will make a big impact! 💚 𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬" 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢: Clearing around the construction site to improve accessibility: - Uplifting any plants currently growing in the garden bed that will become part of the new Tunnel House/Garden (composting anything that can’t be harvested/transplanted) - Extracting all mulch from this garden bed (to be redistributed around the Māra) - Removing all the bricks currently embedded around the perimeter of the garden bed (to be repurposed when/where needed) - Shifting any large objects/materials that might obstruct the work/site, impede access and construction work - Weeding the perimeter fence next to the new Education Area and Tunnel House/Garden P.S. Mitre 10 has selected the Marfell Community Garden as 1 of 6 nationwide recipients of its "Helping Hands Community Project" grant. They will soon install a covered Education Area and Tunnel House! 🎉🎉🎉
