Te Tai Tokerau Climate Action Conference 2023 is looking for local growers, foragers, creative caterers, Hāngī experts and those with Rongoā knowledge to help us showcase the amazing and diverse local kai Te Tai Tokerau has to offer. Our event is for 2 days, with morning and afternoon tea and lunch on each day. We are thinking of having things like soup, seafood chowder, salads, fruit, baked goods with local flours like kūmara flour/oat flour etc and teas with locally grown herbal teas - Kawakawa, ginger, Kūmarahou, mānuka etc The dates are the 7 and 8th of September and the event will be held in Whangārei at Forum North.
