I am an avid garden festival-goer and will have extra seats in my car to visit local gardens throughout the 10 days of the festival (Friday, 30 October – Sunday, 8 November). I have mapped out efficient daily routes to take in as many stops as possible! Example of my itinerary for Friday, 30 October
Schedule: Morning: Visit Dovehaven, head to St Johns Community Garden in Waitara for the 10am Bare Ground to Growing activity, followed by a talk at Blue Cypress Haven at 11.30am (Waitara). Return Route to New Plymouth: Stops at Amuri Gardens, Jims Wayside Acre, Magnolia Grove, and Bee Valley Flower Farm.
The tour covers a mix of Centuria, Fringe, and Sustainable Backyards gardens.
Details & Requirements: Time Credits: Happy to receive time bank credits for travel/driving time. Costs: Passengers will need to purchase their own Centuria tickets and bring cash/coins for koha or entry where required.
