I am looking for some people who can help me brainstorm and plan an event for special needs children and their families in Ashburton. We often can't attend community events for numerous reasons even if we wanted to. Suggestions were brought up at our latest caregiver coffee group around various things could be implemented at a designated event that would make it accessible for those who struggle with events but still really want to be part of it all, and a space where caregivers can also relax a bit. I think it is achievable and I would love to make it happen (before Christmas), however, the coffee group was for special needs caregivers and we are already juggling extra workloads so I don't want to request help from within the group and add to the workload so I thought I would see if there is anyone in here who may be keen to meet up somewhere and see if we can come up with some sort of actionable plan.
